The Newark Symphony concludes its musical world tour with “Traveling Through the Old World” on Mother’s Day at the Symphony. Selections to be performed are Debussy’s Prelude a l’apres midi d’un faune, Grieg’s Piano concerto in A minor, Op. 16. The pianist will be Jennifer Nicole Campbell, College Division winner of the NSO Youth Concerto Competition. Also to be performed are Stravinsky’s Berceuse and Finale from Firebird Suite, with the Delaware Youth Symphony Orchestra as Special Guests. Manuel de Falla’s Three Cornered Hat, Suite No. 1, George Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody No. 1, and Maurice Ravel’s Bolero conclude the program.
