Staff and patients at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown celebrated the hospital’s first year anniversary on Dec. 17, 2015. In its first year, the hospital served more than 700 patients recovering from illnesses and injuries such as stroke, neurological disorders, complex orthopedic conditions, arthritis, brain injury and spinal cord injury.

Event guests enjoyed refreshments and a beautiful cake created by hospital educator Ruth Homiak.

The 40-private room inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital opened its doors to patients on Dec. 15, 2014 and is HealthSouth’s only hospital in the state of Delaware.
