Middletown Native's Cause of Death Still Unknown, March for Justice was Peaceful, Reports Say

Ty Brion Sawyer "Chuck" age 20 of Middletown, who passed away suddenly in April 2015.

More than 300 people marched through Middletown on May 9 to demand justice for a Delaware man who died after a fight at a party, according to the Associated PressTy Brion Sawyer "Chuck" age 20 of Middletown passed away suddenly on April 26.

No charges have been filed in the case, and protestors, 
according to the News Journal, were upset that New Castle County police hadn't done more in the investigation.

The son of Lisa R Sawyer and Terence L Garnett Sr., Ty was born October 3, 1994, in Newark. Ty had recently started his career in sales and marketing at Power Home Remodeling Group in Chester.

"My thoughts and prayers are with your family. My daughter attended school with him and said what a great person he was. Very sorry for your loss," said Wendy Haines on Legacy.com.

County Police Chief Elmer Setting has said officers are investigating the fight, according to reports. Setting said the cause of death is still unknown. Toxicology and autopsy results are still pending.

Lisa Sawyer, Ty's mother, told the Transcript that the day after her son died detectives said that they were no longer investigating the case as a homicide, according to the most recent story.

"Sending my love to the family! Prayers to you all. Ty was such a lovable person and Class of 2013 will never forget him," added Mecca Robinson.
