Apr 27, 2015 10:49AM ● By Steven Hoffman

Students in the AP government class at Appoquinimink High have formed a club called Students for Political And Civic Engagement (SPACE). The first public event is a candidate forum. They’ve invited the seven men and women running for the open seat on Appoquinimink’s Board of Education: Michelle Myers Wall, Tara Greathouse, Debbie Harrington, Ryan Scott, Joanne M. Christian, Dainelle Hampton-Morton, William W. Weller. Using questions prepared by the SPACE Club, candidates will be asked to discuss a range of general education topics and issues facing the Appoquinimink School District. Students, parents, teachers, and district residents are invited to attend the program on Thursday, April 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is free. The address is 1080 Bunker Hill Road, Middletown. Please remember to vote on May 12. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
