"The evening kicked off with a welcome & motivational presentation by MACC’s first woman President, Sital Soni. The annual dinner not only celebrated the Middletown Area Chamber’s anniversary, but also honored local businesses and citizens who continue to make Southern New Castle County a great place to live and work with the Business and Citizen of the Year Awards. The evening also recognized an outstanding board member of the year with the Will Kirkwood President’s Award, the Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year, Business of the Year and offered several special recognition awards." - The chamber newsletter said.
David Lewis, owner of Moore Seal, Inc., accepted the Business of the Year Award in 2014, and he was on hand to present the award to Bailey's owner, Dan Bailey. We chatted briefly with Lewis about the honor of receiving this award, which is given based upon community and chamber involvement and good service.
"It was a great honor to become the ONLY Asphalt Maintenance Company in the State to receive an award of this caliber," he said. "This separates us from the competition and helps consumers make an easier decision when hiring someone for their Sealcoat or Line Striping needs."
